Product, full stack, and applied AI

Fran BarahonaProduct Engineer

I build web products end to end. At Webel I am responsible for the web department; before that, I built a complete Rails product for students, employers, and universities. I work with React, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails, close to Product and accountable for architecture, delivery, and maintenance.

I code with agents extensively. I frame their work with specifications, project context, reusable skills, tests, and reviews. Architecture, shipped code, and the final outcome remain my responsibility.

At a glance

End-to-end product work while staying close to the code

  • I have spent nearly six years building products at startups and scale-ups, from data modelling and backend work through to interfaces and production.

  • I am responsible for Webel's web department. At AuroraJobs I led product development within a four-person tech team and built its full-stack Rails application.

  • I use agents every day to implement more and ship more often. I provide context and constraints, then review the code, tests, and architecture decisions.

Side projects

Lab

Products and prototypes I build on my own initiative. My Potential brings product work, full-stack engineering, applied AI, RAG, and privacy decisions into one case.

01Working prototype

My Potential

An academic-guidance product that connects questionnaires to a catalogue of university degrees and vocational programmes, then generates a tailored report with AI and RAG.
